My daughter has had two large verruca on her foot for about six months. All over the counter stuff failed to work!

I have some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that getting rid of them is tedious, requires rigid adhesion to the process (rather than sporadic caused by our busy schedules), and it still has taken almost 7 weeks to get to the good news which is they have GONE!

We did not try banana skin, but tried white vinegar on one and small sliced garlic on the other (the latter we soaked in hot water and then used duct tape to bind it to the verruca). With the vinegar, we soaked a band aid center and then taped it over the other one.

Both verruca started to show reaction - itching, and change of colour.

The duct tape after about three weeks of using it caused a blistering ( not related to the verruca) so I had to find another strategy.

I took a clove of Garlic, sliced it up into thin pieces and added them to a small dish of white vinegar and left for several days to blend.

We then started painting the veruuca with a small brush, morning and night with this mixture. Allowed to dry in and then covered with socks.

Happy to report that the deepest of the two verrucas was the first to crack and peel off after about six weeks and now the second is lifting off and the root is coming with it.

Might not work for everybody, but thank the Lord it has worked for us.

Only problem is you have to like garlic :-) and it needs to be done twice a day - every day

Interesting stuff. If I'd known about this I would have tried it before forking out on the Heal Warts. (To be applied 3 times a day - every day).

I've got well established verrucae (see my previous posts) and in desperation bought Heal Warts.

I've been using this stuff for almost 3 months now and am glad to report that my big toe (which has been the most painful) is almost healed. I can wear proper shoes at last!!

    biggrin

My heel, which has 'The Monster of all Verrucae' is taking longer to go.

    sad

I'm determined to be 'verruca free' for our holiday in the Maldives at the end of February.

Maybe I'll try the garlic & white vinegar ..........................

............we'll see. (Have just ordered another bottle of Heal Warts!)

Thanks for the advice and congrats on beating this horrible condition!

    Hi Guest

Your successful treatment of plantar warts (posted over a year ago) which you call tedious, interested me. So I have started it and am patiently getting on with it. I cut up some garlic into small pieces and let it ferment for 3 days in apple cider vinegar in a closed plastic container. (I realized afterwards Guest had used white vinegar but still used this ACV solution) started dabbing my very disturbing verruca twice a day with an ear  cotton bud, allowing solution to dry up and covering with duct tape. Sometimes I press/squash on the garlic before doing so. Just on my 8th day. Up to yesterday noticed a black tiny dot, but was not sure. Today asked husband what he could see, and he said 'one larger tiny dot and 2 more, finer ones.' Just needed verification. I will try and take a picture every week as I go along, if someone could show me how to post picture, I would as it might be encouraging to others. In the meantime would GUEST kindly report if her daughter has been verruca-free since last year?
