my daughter is 13 and has pcos but is still in severe pain has anyone else had this issue her dr. says this is not common

im worried there missing something she just had a mri done and that came back fine

    Yeah Tara I think it's common as I have crippling pains at times and a lot of the other girls I've spoken to have been the same xx

    i was told by my doctor it isn't a side affect of PCOS but everyone i know who has it has cripling pain at times. heat packs generally take the edge off a bit but pain medication doesn't really work for me good luck x

    I started my periods about that age too, and they were excruciating. I was put on Depo-vera contraceptive injection, that stopped my cycle and the pain for the last ten years. Maybe could help your daughter too as I know it can ruin a childhood.
