My experience

Hello, I have been using Zopiclone for 10 years at 7.5 dose every night. Owing to a manic episode my consultant increased my dose exceeding the max dose to 15mg. The episode has passed and I want to quit. I know you are not supossed to just stop dead taking this drug but it was kind of accidental. My dose of quityapine was increased and I felt so tired at night I just passed out without even thinking of taking the Zopiclone. Its been 3 nights now without any withdrawal symptoms. From anyones experience, am I likely to get hit big time with W/d symptoms or am I past that? Of course I would love it if things continue like this but is it likely? Many Thanks

I think you will be okay ... you have the quetipine on board so that will buffer the withdrawal effects of the zopiclone nicely. I did have a very few slight sweats that's all. I have to take Atenolol (beta blocker) for hypertension and 10 mgms of Amitriptyline for back pain so I did not have any either coming off it slowly ... you'll be fine I'm sure. ... don't worry! smile

Thanking you for the reassurance. It was night 4 last night and still okay. Get sweats and chills anyway owing to an under active thyroid gland brought on by Lithum use so I can't tell the difference so perhaps that's a blessing, lol

Hi there, I had some rebound insomnia at first but it started immediately. As you've gone 3 nights already I agree with the others, I think you're gonna be okay.

That's great to hear apart from the rebound insomnia but slept like baby last night. I think that may be owing to doing a lot of physical training plus the quityapine
