My experience

hello everyone. just want to chronicle my experience so far.
50 years old, standard BPH symptoms. Opted for greenlight over meds or other surgical measures.
Surgery was a breeze, first day pain unremarkable. Having the cath overnight was a difficult bit not painful experience.
Removed myself next morning. I was all prepped for pain, just a really strange feeling no real pain. That day pain was minimal and urinating was the worst. Throbbing for a minute or so after urination. Take stool sofetners I cant miagine having to strain. Back to work day 3. Wore my depends that day. Small amounts of blood but just slightly.
NOW for the wrinkle day 5 right now. Clear urine for 2 days and now, all of a sudden very thick red blood in urine. I am going to monitor and if it continues I will call the doc to see what to do. Also no relief in symptoms but that is 100% normal. So no worries there.
All in all up to now a big nothing burger. All my fears were unfounded.

@brian46440 hey, bud, I am looking at same procedure. Let me ask couple of questions. Five days in and NO relief of BPH, etc?? Other than voiding symptoms, which is normal, as all ablated tissue must come out. Did you have large prostate? Middle lobe? GL PVP is used alot around here. They claim 93% of all men with severe symptoms have marked improvement. With results that last. How long was surgery? Were you knocked out? Are you still on medications? Sorry for questions.. Hoping for your full recovery
