My eye is still pink a week after starting pink eye meds

Pink Eye still red after a whole week

So about a week ago my eye started getting red. By Friday it was really red, irritated, itchy, burning and producing a lot of goop. I went to the doctor and was prescribed gentamicin eye drops. He said it was bacterial pink eye because I also had symptoms of a sinus infection. So I have taken these drops since then for 5 days and my eye is still significantly red. My eye is no longer producing goo, isn’t getting stuck together, and doesn’t burn or itch. The only thing still left is a significant pink hue. I was wondering if this could be a side effect of the antibiotics and I should stop taking them. Or do I need to continue taking them and it will just take a while to go away?
