My Father on Simvastatin!!

Posted , 3 users are following.

My Father had a stroke in January. He is prescribed Simvastain, Aspirin and something for his blood pressure. To begin with he was relatively normal! Over the past few weeks he has increased hysteria. He is convinced my mother is poisoning him, he hears strange noises and has to unplug everything. It seems that he is bordering on OCD! I have tried to discuss changing his meds, but he thinks he'll die. If you mention talking to the doctor about it, he thinks there is a conspiracy to kill him. I find his behaviour very distressing. The NHS only dish out this because its cheap. Unfortunately the side effect doesn't just fall with the patient. I sometimes think that maybe it's the stroke that has made him the way he is, but to start with, he was ok. Does anyone know of an alternative? I'm considering a private prscription for the old Boy. He gets very aggitated with my Mother and very angry, almost violent. Are we the only ones with this strife??

    Hi there!

I have just read your msg, and I am very glad to tell you that YES, there IS an alternative!

I have just been telling my friend who is also on the same medication that he must get onto these amazing new advanced liquid nutrition supplements, which are 100% natural!

If you would like to find out more, give me a call on XXXXXXXX and I will give you the website where you can have a look at the products: Pro No 10, Pro Vitamin Complete, and Good Greens.

These have been found to have very positive effects on the heart and blood.

I am confident you will handle the cause of your father's health problems if you get him on these products.

    Yours sincerely,

    Camilla Forster

[quote:f4fe7f4981=\"Katie Kat My father also had a stroke in March, although NHS diagnosed as a TIA (minor stroke). My dad was left with no weakness, however after reading your entry, I feel i have to reply (bit of a novice on this site though!. There are so many similarities between your story and my fathers. He too was prescribed Simvastatin 40mg and had the normal muscle aches. The similarity we have is the \"Aggression\", my father too seems to take his anger and frustration out on everyone, especially my mother. Shortly after the stroke my father seemed in a state of excitement and hyperactivity, although he was very agitated and angry at family members, especially my poor mother. My dads blood pressure is now controlled, but seems to suffer from bouts of sickness, I often wonder if Simvastatin has anything to do with it. \"][quote:f4fe7f4981=\"Trappie \"]My Father had a stroke in January.
