My feet shrank 4 sizes (40mm)

Two years ago, my feet were 280mm long ( US women's 11) I now wear size 240mm (US women's 7). Every few months I am literally walking out of my shoes. My local doctors are completely stunned and have never come across something like this.

It's not a sizing issue, I didn't have surgery, and I've had only moderate weight loss.

Does anyone know what this might be a symptom of or have any ideas on how I could stop it?
