Hi all!

I have just been to my local pharmacy and doctors to seek some advice for starting sertraline and ive come away buzzing!

The woman I spoke to down the doctors had been on sertraline by chance and she said what we are all suffering from when first taking sertraline is really common and it be 2 weeks b4 the drug starts to balance the brain properly. She said it makes u uneasy and confused at first but gotta stick with it. She said ur brain is like a pond filled with algie but when u put cemecials to kill off the algie it wont kill it off straight away it will happen over a period of time.

Lets fight this together and be here for one another any feels down we support one another.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!

take care and keep taking it no matter how u feel it's gonna make u feel better just remember that!

Hi Kevin, jeez I wish you had have been around back in April when I was scared crapless about to start sertraline!! If anyone is debating whether or not to start this medication- do it...but have support around if you can. I ended up in A&E after my first one convinced I was dying...because I had a massive panic attack from letting my panic disorder get so bad instead of just taking the tablets!! It maybe took me 4 weeks to fully get used to it but now I'm great. When you're starting out it seems terrifying, and a few weeks of side effects seems like a lifetime but you will get there and you will get your life back. No one said it would be easy but you'll get there! Take care everyone.
