Sorry to ask so many questions just having a hard time excepting this diagnose. I do have bad pains at time but for the most time it's more like an achy tired feeling in my arms an legs. Anyone else?

Thanks

Hi Amy, yes I agree with you, I'm still not sure about my diagnosis, I get more nagging pains and stiffness in my shoulders and legs, my hips ache, but I have noticed that my fingers are starting to get a bit stiff and sore. I have been for all sorts of blood tests and nothing showed up. I think that fibromyalgia affects each of us differently, which is why it's sometimes difficult to accept. How long have you had these problems?

I have been seeing numerous doctors since Feb. when I found out I had pericardial effusion. I had mri's, so much blood work an the nerve conduction text along with emg. Everything came back normal. I'm just so scared they may have missed something or the test was done to early.

I just have so many weird symptoms. But it's mostly my legs that's affected. I have a dominate side so my left is worse than the right. I just read that so many people have really bad pain an at times I do but for the most part my is just achy an tired feelin. Some days are better than others. I also have this sore spot on the back of my leg that really sore when I walk.

Yes, my right side is worse in all things. And I get those stabbing pains like a pin sticking in my foot, I also get unbearable tickles under my toes and no amount or rubbing makes them go. Today all the joints in my feet are aching so as I have to walk really lightly. I have sore spots, but when I touch myself, feels like I'm touching a bruise. And yes, I get really tired, sometimes I can't make it through the day without having a rest. And all these things were brought on by depression, so the doctor said. But it's rare that two days are the same. I think the more you worry about things the worse they get, and agree with Maggers when she said that she is the same person regardless of the diagnosis, and the best thing is to be kind to yourself.

Yes sometimes it feels like I have dead leg or arm. Aches are common but sometimes I get the stabbing pains particularly in feet and my rather ample rear end!    It takes time to come to terms with the diagnosis and I went through relief, disbelief, constant questioning through to final acceptance.  Bit like a bereavement - but then I decided I was still the same person as I was the day before diagnosis except now I had a label.  I am not a fibro sufferer I am Maggers who happens to have fibro. Be kind to yourself, take a day at a time and learn the most important word for us the word "no".

What do you mean by dead leg if you don't mind me asking like what does it feel like.

My foot lately has also felt a little numb I'm not sure if that's a good word to use but it defiantly feels different.

      Thanks again

Sorry forgot to ask one more question do you have a dominate side. My left side is affected more than my right side.

Dead leg/arm is the feeling you get when someone punches you sharply and the limb starts to ache - charley horse is another term used. Also can sometimes feel like when a leg goes numb because you have been sitting a with your legs under you and they go to sleep. I'm left handed mostly but can use either which is useful.  I seem to suffer in both sides of the body at different times sometimes bilaterally too.  Remember fibro is very individual and although we all have symptoms that are similar they are also exclusive to you.

My left side is definitely the worse but I get a varied range of pains from burning sensation like indigestion but in other areas to aches that feel like my limbs are magnets and someone's holding a more powerful magnet and pulling them. I also get the lactic acid type burn like during exercise and sometimes bruised feeling and I also get the odd cutting sharp pains and grating like bones are rubbing on tissue. Not to mention tingling numbers etc. it sort of moves around depending on the day and sometimes certain areas won't hurt for ages but I'll get a new place. I get facial pain, neck and shoulder pain, rib pain, leg pain, hip pain, feet pain. I don't suffer with the depression side of things however every so often the pain and the relentlessness of the situation will make me break down for a day or 2.

I also suffer with fatigue, muddy head, heart palps, sensory things, ear fullness with no visual ear problems.

I always wonder if it's a circulation thing as its left sided and I also have raynauds.
