My first few days on Citalopram

Hello,
i was prescribed Citalopram last week. I decided to hold off starting until the weekend so i could have one last night out on the booze.
I started on sunday and have so far only had 2 doses. i know i've been dizzy and a little light headed but i'm worried that i've also developed a side effect of anorgasmia. Does this tend to go away. Will i have problems for a while?
I'm worried my partner isn't keen on me taking the medication and i'm feeling anxious.

I have taken citalopram for only 3 days and on the third day I have had a terrible experience. On the first 2 days, I have the usual dry mouth and nausea feeling which I can easily cope with but on that third day, Yesterday, I took the 20mgs pill as prescribed at 9am. At about 3pm as I was just sitting in the chair, i started to get a burning, prickly sensation in my feet and lower legs, it became intense and quickly spread up my whole body to the top of my head. I started sweating, (probably through fright) and this bur8ing sensation continued for about 3 minutes. it was like all the nerve ending in my body were alight.
When it stopped i quickly took my BP and was shocked to see it was 210/80 and my pulse was 98.Usually it is 140/70 and pulse 60
I felt terrible, no pain, just a feeling of illness.
My wife called the para-medics and after testing, e.g. BP, Pulse, blood etc, they found nothing wrong physically. They took me to my health centre and the doctor there suggested it was a side effect of Citalopram.
I have stopped taking it. I prefer to go cold-turkey rather than face that episode again.[/b:c243675f5d]

CITALOPRAM HAS NEVER DONE THIS TO ME PEOPLE! SO DO NOT DISPEAR! In fact , almost the opposite effect has happened-when lying in bed ive felt like someone filled me with lots of air and I feel as though I need deflated, also its making me sensitive to light or is that the quetiapine? Alcohol? ( ( Okaty, bad joke!!!!!!!!!!!)
Jon-you didnt have to make it so bold-for some people this stuff is a life line!

Sorry about that. I have eyesight problems...
I hope that the effect I experienced is only temporary as I need something to help me and if my Doctor suggest that I persist then I will.

Hubby took me to A & E n they said it was a side effect and it would stop but never said when
I have been on med for 3 weeks now and every so often I start itching and burning but doc says it is just a reaction - not allergy
