I am going to get tested and if the results come back Pos then I know my answer but if they came back Neg can we stay together? Can we make as a couple? I'm so confused and uneducated on this topic and virus and kinda sad and scared at the same time. Please any input would help. Thank you

She has HSV -1 down there ? Have y'all had unprotected sex? Most people are born with HSV -1 , it easy to transfer it down below. Yea you still be in a relationship

You can still be together. If she has it orally just avoid contact during that time frame until she heals. If she has it down there then avoid down there also. Usually she'll get warning signs before she has an outbreak so just ask her to tell you when she does so you can avoid sexual contact.

Most people have it and rarely get outbreaks

Im a female with genital HSV 1, and im currently in a relationship. My partner knows i have and has known from the start.

havinf the virus doesnt mean you cant be in a reationship, extra precautions just need to be taken.

First off understand GHSV1 it hard to pass on through the genitals, and ghsv 1 also sheds very little. Most GHSV1 cases happen because of someone who had a cold sre and then performed oral sex on their partner. People with GHSV1 also rarelt have OB.

But i suggest you talk to her ask her what she knows about the virus, and you yourself should also research the virus to get your own understanding.
