hi bobbie,
one of the "common" side effects of surgery , I am afraid
Like Beth, my nails were and still are in terrible shape - as she said, thin, flaky and nailpolish won't adhere .... weird ...
it will all come back ...
big warm hug

Hi Renee
?Oops - just ignore me, I was going to do something naughty by accident. I'll PM you instead. I have found something that helps the nails!

My hair was much thinner, and my nails stopped growing entirely for three months or so. It alarmed me too until I realised that my body is using all of its reserves and energy to make me better. Shock of the operation will have an impact, and also the medication.
My nails now grow normally again although my hair is still thin, I am praying for this to change in the coming months. I also made time to keep my nails looking nice etc, to try and offset the blow to one's confidence after this operation.
I generally just felt very cr*p for a while, but it passes! Fortify the body with as many vitamins and nutrients you can manage every day - it will help x

Hi Bobbie. The answer is "yes" and also my nails are weak. First op in Jan my hair became thin however, as I recovered my hair thickened. Second op eight weeks ago and same thing.
Don't worry there are lots of products to help voluamise and it is only short term.
Love Maureen x
