The increasing heart rate is more than likely anxiety don't worry about it , I've had this for years and I know how you feel it's very scary and I still believe it's going to hurt me s

In my particular case, all tests came back normal as I didnt have symptoms during the tests. It was only when I bought my own little ECG machine that they started to seriously investigate, then the ambulance rides came thick and fast.

Ventricular Tachycardia, a symptom of something they are still investigating. An ablation seemed to have stopped the VT being dangerous, but it has left me with a broad and elevated "T" wave so we will see. Thanks though.

Thanks, but as for you, I wouldnt just assume the worst, it is more likely to be harmless benighn ectopic beats. Get a little ECG machine though if you can afford it, worthy it just to put your mind at rest.

Can I just ask how did you develop the vt ? Probably a stupid question, what does it feel like because I get bursts of fast beats for about 4-5 seconds it's feels like a train in my chest

The symptoms started about three or four years ago. Initially I thought I had an abdominal aortic aneurysm, it would feel as if that big cvien had suddenly swollen up like a balloon so that I would lose blood pressure from my top half. I also likened the sensation to being in a car going over a humped bridge. What pointed my attention to my heart was lying in bed, my pulse seeming to go really slow and really strong, so that I would see my stomach jump with the extra extopic beat. NHS couldnt find anything so I bought my own ECG. Both the described symptoms would show differantly on the ecg, the first would just be two or three ectopic beats, the second one though would have the R wave going right to the top of the graph and flattening out as the graph wasnt big enough, then the downward S wave would do the same thing at the bottom, a huge heartbeat that went off the graph. Over the course of time, these symptom became more frequent, than at Christmas I had a feeling I was being strangled and could feel the viens in my groin under pressure, my ECG now showed constant up and down scribble, google VT ecg to see what it looks like. Then on boxing day it felt as if I had a dial to turn off my contiousness that somebody was turning right down every three seconds. They then put me on Bisoprolol, after that I went downhill fast, I could feel the VTs when they started, a hard to discribe feelingm the last episode lasted a constant 12 hours and I was told off for not calling an ambulance sooner. They gave me an ablation, whilst this seems to have stopped the long runs of VT, I constantly get single ectopic beats as if my heart wants to go into a VT run, but that the ablation stops it, the feeling I now get seems to be more prounounced, it feels as if somebody has snatched my breath away and it makes me gasp. I alos had an 8 beat run where my heart suddenly raced to 188bmp whilst just standing there, this nearly made me faint. Other ways to discribe the feeling are a quickly expanding and deflating balloon in my middle.
