I'm sorry you both are going through this.  I'm going through it right now, but mine is a result of a super-bad stomach virus I got on vacation 2 months ago.  I can only eat about 1/2 the food I used to be able to before I get that way.

I just had an endoscopy/colonoscopy that came up negative, so now my doctors just scheduled me for a gastric-emptying scan because they suspect that my stomach may not be emptying correctly because the virus caused so much inflammation.  I don't know if your husband had this test already but I thought you might want to suggest it to his doctors.

No the doctors have not done gastric emptying scan. I will suggest it to them for sure. And sorry you are also going through something similar. I can understand how stomach illness can be unbearably painful. I hope we find a way out soon . Hope you get well soon as well.

It may be that your husband's medication is not suiting him.  Has your doctor considered this?  Has he had a colonoscopy and endoscopy along with his other tests?

Hi Yes initially doctors assumed that it might be reaction of the sugar medication. They changed the medicine. Even switched to insulin for sometime. But it did nt turn out to be the case. Also he has had colonscopy once and endoscopy three times. Except hpilory everything was clear.

The antibiotics used to treat h pylori are very strong and can upset the stomach, particularly your gut flora.  Once your antibiotics are finished, taking probiotics is useful to restore this balance.  It may also be that the h pylori is resistant to the antibiotics.
