My initial appointment is tomorrow

Hi, I'm new here and not formally diagnosed although I'm sure there'll be no doubt other than if I have cancer as well. I'm 38, I haven't been sexually active in years. I had a pap smear 11 months ago with zero signs of this disease. Last Thursday night I had some discomfort and felt a lump on my perineum. I thought it might be an ingrown hair so I took a mirror to look and almost died. Lets just say, if the area from my front vulva hairline to the top crease behind my anus was a piece of paper, at least 40% of it is now white. The lump feels like a cyst and is under a white patch. I also had a long time mole/skin tag that has now shunk and turned bright white instead of brown. Suffice it to say I'm very scared. I called my GP first thing in the morning and got an appointment for this Wednesday (tomorrow). I have a needle phobia, and can't imagine having a biopsy while awake. Has anyone here had one while under general anesthesia? Has anyone else had a mole that changed so drastically? Has anyone else ever seen that kind of progression in under a year? Anyone else with lumps? Thank you all for any input. I'll message an update tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing and confirming my thoughts exactly re: biopsy. Ladies don't stress they are not so bad! I to get great care here in Chicago. Makes all the difference..I'm healing well after 6 weeks of a 6 month regimen. Looking more normal down there for the first time!
