My is penis is held back by this. What can I do?

I've had this thing for a couple years but only recently have I been disturbed by it. Everything I pull back my penis, I cannot fully do so as the result of this skim that is connected to the back of the head. Is this worrying thing and what is it?

It's phimosis. If it hurts or is bothering you circumcision is the answer. It's not dangerous

Circumcision is sometimes required to fix phimosis, but it certainly isn't the only solution.  Most males don't need any kind of surgery, and preputioplasty and a dorsal slit are alternatives to circumcision.

Some men also choose to live with phimosis, though personally I wouldn't.

As operations go, circumcision certainly isn't "dangerous" btw, but there are widely varying degrees of patient satisfaction.  Some men are *very* happy with the results and wish they'd done it sooner, but some are *very* unhappy.  Search YouTube for "circumcised at 18" to find one such case.

Pubmed 17155977 studied 255 men circumcised as adults, and found that:

"About 6% answered that their sex lives improved, while 20% reported a worse sex life after circumcision."

If you see your GP a course of steroid cream can be tried, but it's never particularly successful.

A few studies show that stretching and steroid creams fix most cases of phimosis.

You'll probably need to use a PC or laptop rather than a phone or tablet. It sounds like you might have phimosis or frenulum breve though.  If you're quite young, say under 20, then there's a good chance they'll just fix themselves.  You can also try stretching or steroid creams, or as a last resort surgery (preputioplasty; a dorsal slit, which is rare; or circumcision).

It doesn't sound like phimosis to me. Phimosis is usually a cause of the foreskin failing to return over the tip after retraction. Your description says you can't fully retract the foreskin. Maybe you have frenulum breve (short banjo-string). We all have a frenulum, - similar to the length of skin under the tongue - unless circumcision has removed it. Unless you have pain or even bleeding during intercourse or masturbation there may be nothing abnormal about your penis.

Please don't accept circumcision if it is offered. Recovery is long and painful. You will lose sensitivity and pleasurable nerve endings resulting from your foreskin being removed entirely.  There are creams with stretching and more minor surgical procedures to correct your problem - if there really is a problem. Tell us your age.

Upload photos if you have a computer available and we can help you better. Best wishes.
