My legs are killing me

Hi everyone, I'm in a pickle... I was diagnosed last Thursday but I have a question. In 2013, I had a spine fusion of my L4-L5 and the back has never been the same since. Constant pain 24/7 365 with leg pain. Now my leg pain is getting worse. I have read that herpes affects your legs. Could this be from that or my back? It hurts all the way down to my ankles on both legs. My butt cheeks also hurt!!!! Thank you!!!!

Hi Karen yes it can affect ur back and legs when ur having an outbreak unfortunately, can b quite uncomfortable

The only thing u can really do is start taking the medication as soon as u feel an outbreak coming on which u will probably get to know and take pain killers until late it starts to subside.

I am on the same situation. Well I was just diagnosed yesterday and have been on Acyclovir, but the muscle pain is just too darn much. I found taking some pain killers to be helpful for a few hours to alleviate pain.

Also, just an advice, maybe you should call your physician and possibly explain the pain you have been feeling. I sure am doing that today.
