My podiatrist´s hygiene

Been going to a podiatrist to rehab my leg injury. I took appointments during day in the beginning, but noted that he didn´t wash his hands after patient before me. The sink is in the waiting hall, there is none in the appointment room, so I would have noticed his handwashing. I was abstemious of questioning him about this, and just started to book appointments earliest in the morning to be the first patient. He doesn´t use gloves when giving manual therapy.

It may sound like I´m really childish for not asking my podiatrist about handwashing. But I´m afraid of it getting on his ego and maybe awakening negative feelings toward me and risking the best rehab and patient-podiatrist relationship. And I always have questions regarding my leg´s situation which I´m concentrating to ask.

Should I just stop the morning appointments and ask for my podiatrist to wash his hands or play it safe and keep on visiting as the first patient? Wouldn´t want to get fungus or ringworm as a by-product of my rehab. And otherwise very satisfied with the podiatrist.
