My poly implant prothese (PIP) haven’t ruptured so I have to go private to have them replaced - but who do I trust this time? A colleague at work had the same issue, and she went back to her original private clinic who were offering to replace them but my private clinic has ceased trading and I wonder if it’s to avoid all the replacements! I have really lost faith in the private clinics and really do not know where to go now. I trust the NHS as they are governed by independent bodies such as NICE and the DoH but I can’t seem to find any credible, trustworthy information in the private sector. What’s more the information and quotations I have been given have varied hugely and all are wrapped up in a package which ranges from initial consultation to aftercare and everything in between. Might anyone have come across an independent site that offers dependable information and takes the pain out of an already very distressing situation?

I'm actually having the same problem. Although I am actually looking for orthodontic treatments available on private healthcare (as it's for cosmetic reasons) I have also found that it's hard to find information about the
treatments which are available in the private sector which aren't from their own websites.

Again, I wish a credible website like the NHS actually have information regarding the private treatments available so I can compare the information given by these private clinics as well as comparing the pricing - which is even more important.
Can anyone help us?

I’ve not heard of any such site and I can assure you I have been trawling the internet for months now! If I come across anything I’ll let you know…..or if anyone else has…?

My friend went all the way to Poland to have the PIP implants replaced. Her implants ruptured unfortunately causing a lot of trouble and pain. As far as I know, with the trip and accommodation costs it was still a lot cheaper to go there than have it done in the UK. I'm also thinking of going to the same clinic to have a tummy tuck. I know they take care of the treatment as well as the whole stay. The clinic is called clinicforyou.
