I have been there . It lasted a few days and I couldn't sit still . I thought it was my wound so just kept moving about and it wore off

I think it is all part of the process x

Thhis is part of the process Sassy, it will wear off, just be kind to yourself and don't over do it. Little and often is the key. xx

Your body has been in different positions during operation and leg and hip moved to check its all done well. We do have aches in different areas, but it makes sense after seeing the op performed. It gets better , lots of layers cut through that all needs to heal and sometimes in different times xx

I know your pain well! I think that my butt hurt worse than my op did. I bought one of those "doughnut hole" cushions to sit on. That helped a LOT.

I think it is a case of us all having something similar. I found lying stretched out for half an hour relieved the sore bum

I feel for you as the butt hurting is what I remember most. Once you can move about more freely it will get better.

    Hi sassy,

just checking in with you and hope it feels better - you will experience weird pains, stabs and twitches while going through the healing process - and honestly, it is not fun when you are right in the middle of it - I always want a massage or something and when I can reach the spot, I do it myself - living alone :-( -

I prefer a hot wrap or something over ice packs -

right now, at 13 days post-op from 2nd THR, my shins are burning - YIGH!!!!

sometimes darling, just allow your self to do nothing - just relax, take deep breaths and let go -

    big warm hug

Take painkillers regularly - co-codamol 30/500's plus tramadol works for me - pain in bottom goes eventually - all your pain will go.  I am nine weeks on.biggrin My pain left me in my groin immediately and elsewhere after about four or five weeks.
