My Progress (pics included) + Is My Current Routine Looking Ok????

I’m 26yrs old now and have hair thinning on a fair amount of the front half of the top of my head and some on the back and a fair amount around my twin crowns for almost 4yrs.

Ok So I’ve literally just gone from the routine of using Kirkland minoxodil 5% in morning + before bed (Nov 2013-Dec 2014), Propecia (April – December 2014), Nizoral once per week (Early 2014+), Alpecine + liquid energizer 3 gradually to 5 times per week (Late 2013+), folligain (Sept 2014+), x1 msm 1500mg tablet and saw palmetto tablet every morning with food (Sept 2014+).

I’m now substituting the minoxodil (which left horrible big white flakes in my hair) and the propecia (which as seen in the annual photo below, has made some difference, even though the photo lighting is different) with har vokse spray and supplements (said by many and professionals to be far better than this previous combo.

Is there any experience you’ve had with har vokse (I use a few sprays of it having either washed my hair just before or literally showered my head and partly dried it)? Also the har vokse tablets are food supplement tablets that work similarly to propecia, but are natural, I’ll take them typically an hour or so after eating. I’m going to give up the saw palmetto and msm 1500 tablets/supplements also, does these all seem like a fairly good routine?

I have Alopecia and as a woman have looked at various cures.I don't think any really work or atleast I've not found one.Luckily for me my long hair covers the thinning patches and luckily for you male baldness is accepted so I would (if I was you) get on with my life and not worry about hair loss. You look to have a good shaped head and as hair loss doesn't usually affect your health just focus on what you enjoy and forget hair!Good luck. Be confident and accept your new look.

Looking at your photos you appear to have a fairly even distribution of follicle density at the moment -maybe a couple of slight receeding point at the front, but nothing to suggest Alopecia as such, just a natural very early receeding that is largely genetic and nothing you can do will prevent it. The more you worry about this and apply various treatments-the probability is that you could be doing more damage than good. My advice is to take a small number of vitamin/health suppliments, massage periodically with an oil others recommend (Almond?), partake of a healthy balanced diet, exercise regularly and go out and enjoy life as Jane98094 above advised. Hope this helps.

Receeding is alopecia (genetic or not) isn't it?

Besides although there's no garuanteed cure for hair loss, some people have found certain products to help (i.e minoxodil and propecia) which is what caused the small visisble improvement in my before and after pics.

Besides, my crown was and still is looking thinner (I can feel it) and the hair density at the front isn't even in all places.
