My second degree burn scar is itching

Hello

I burned my leg December 2020 with scalding hot water and upon ER consultation it appeared to be a second degree burn. The burn healed nicely with mostly self medication but I still have a wide scar on my leg. The past few weeks it started itching like crazy to the point where I can't focus on anything during the day and I can't sleep at night. It also turns very red and hot. A friend of mine suggested compression garments but I don't know if I should consult a dermatologist before.

Please help me!!!

    No pressure garments....you need to see a dermatologist. Those deeper layers of skin may not be healing as well as you hoped. Do see a specialist as soon as you can.
