Hi Toni, yes it has happened to quite a few people from what I can gather. And most certainly has happened to me. I have been on the tablets for 7 weeks tomorrow and I have lost one stone but that was mostly in the 3rd and 4th week, and nothing in the last 3 weeks at all, despite being really ill with upset stomach last week. I too have been really good and I am a bit fed up today as still no weight lost despite being so good all weekend when everyone else was scoffing. I'm sure I would be losing more without the tablets and I am considering coming off them but will give it to my next weigh in before I make that decision. If I don't lose half a stone at least then I will come off them and revert to a low calorie, low fat diet without putting drugs into my body. However, on a positive note, I do feel better, my clothes are more comfortable and my skin is looking fab (even if I do say so myself). Don't be disheartened as you lost 7lbs last week which is amazing. Just keep going and see how it pans out as you've started really well and hopefully will lose some this week. Good luck.

Hi there...Thank u for ur reply, I am kinda relieved to hear this is happening to others but also sad for us all. I was so excited with the first week and was really hoping for another 7 lb, having spent so many years being a "big Girl" so was so disappointed , I will keep going and hope next week will be better. Thank u for ur support x

I know what you mean. I am totally deflated as I originally went to the docs about a gastric band but they told me my BMI wasn't high enough and my answer was I can easily go away and get my BMI high enough within a couple of months - that's ridiculous, I don't want to get any bigger. So they suggested these and I was very happy and fully of confidence and excited but so far it's been a nightmare. I have a lovely holiday in July and I swore I was not going to be the one round the pool looking like Shamu again, and then a really important wedding in August and then skiing in Feb next year, so I thought if I started at the beginning of the year I have something to aim for blah blah blah. Well hear we are nearly May and I have lost 1 stone with 4 MORE to go! Not happy at all. Kinda makes me want to give up but I shall carry on and when I get weighed again in 2 weeks if I have not lost 7 lbs from my first weigh in (which is looking unlikely seen as I've lost zero since then) then I am going to come off them and follow Weight Watchers. I did that a few years ago and lost 2.5 stone in 4 months - don't really know why I didn't just go down that route this time - hindsight is a pain in the arse! Now I must away to have my grilled fish and salad - oh joy!

Hi Toni, I'm so glad you posted this as it's also happening to me! I lost in my first 2 weeks but this week I've actually put on! I've been so so strict and even exercised but still not lost. I'm so down hearted about it.

ive got my appointment at the doctors on Monday so see what that brings.

someone suggested I may be following too much of a low fat diet causing the tablets not to work? But I really don't know.

hope you get success soon x
