So I was on Sertraline 50mg for 8 months.
During that time I had numerous side effects that aren't "linked" to the meds, however they were no doubt caused by the medication.
These included:
Increased anxiety.
Difficulty losing weight.
Join soreness(specifically in my left shoulder/chest area).
Increased activity in thyroid.
Reduction of good cholestoral.
Difficulty sleeping.
Reduction in sex drive(likely testosterone).
Foggyness in brain functionality.
A lot of those are not linked with Sertraline, however having been off of it for 4 weeks now and having gone back to my doctor for a full medical checkup, things have improved.
I've dropped 8lbs, my thyroid has returned to normal functionality with everyone being back in normal limits, my cholesterol is improving, my body no longer hurts daily, my head is no longer foggy, my sex drive is back(which my wife is grateful for, we got to where we would go 8-9 days without being infinite, now I can't get enough).
Overall my health is rapidly improving, and the withdrawal symptoms are slowly going away and reducing in severity.
Overall my life is greatly improving, but the point of this thread is simple.
If you are feeling something is not right since starting Sertraline, and your doctor says there is no way the medicine can cause that....Well I'm telling you it's possible.
Be safe everyone.

Hiya Joshua, Reading your post was like myself writing it 😖I have been on the same 50mg of sertlaline for 7 months now and I have and still having the same symptoms as you , have talked to my doctor about the symptoms and was told it has nothing to do with the tablet and did suggest to her about coming of it but was told if my mood has in proved why stop taking it 😡So was left feeling confused about the side affects like it was in my mind 😔Did you have many side affects when you came off the tablet ?? .

I did, but I have a wife who is excellent and understanding.
The first week I did 50/25mg every other day.
Second week was 25mg every day.
Third week was 0/25mg every other day.
It wasn't until the forth week I had side effects.
Mainly they consisted of easy to anger, brain zaps(which was the hardest part) and being tired.
However every week it has gotten better and better.
I'm on week 6 with no meds and only have the brain zaps maybe once a week and on that day, maybe once or twice.
Overall my withdrawal symptoms are gone.
