My skin has started having sharp stabbing pains

after having a bath or shower my skin has started reacting with pains as if someone is jabbing me with a needle. It's mainly my arms but sometimes my back and tops of legs. it stops after a while. I'm not sure whether this is a reaction to the hot water or whether it's because I like to use a sponge with the rough side and it's saying no to the scrubbing. does anyone else have this with their fibromyalgia

OMG I get this too! It gets really painful and then itches as it calms down. I get it on my legs and arms. It's getting so I don't want to shower or bath which is not good. I thought it might be my medication. Has anybody else any idea please?

not just me then. I'm sorry you're getting it too but I'm also glad I'm not alone. it means I can assume it's part of fibromyalgia and not something else starting. like you mine is itching when it calms down, sometimes scratched it so much i leave big red streaks from my nails. my skin also itches when water is drying naturally on it like when youre still sat in the bath, does yours

Yes it does and I scratch myself too. It's another depressing aspect of this horrible condition.
