It's normal! If you want to apply some cream on the skin of your son, you have to see a doctor, he or she can also prescribe you a medicine for your son to take.

I did take my son to see a doctor and the doctor said that I should just put calmin lotion on his whole body and also have him take a oat meal bath to help with the itchiness. Is there any thing else I can do to help my son be less itchy?

Did your doctor tell the steps on how to relieve itching? This is according to wikihow:

    1. Bathe in cool to lukewarm water to relieve itching.

    2. Use cool compresses to help relieve itching.

    3. Purchase commercial oatmeal bath packets. Follow package directions, or medical providers instructions, when using.

    4. Pat dry, do not rub, the body when toweling off after bathing.

    5. Purchase Calamine lotion and apply to affected areas.

    6. Use acetaminophen (motrin) to help relieve pain of mouth blisters, if recommended by your doctor.

So, he did not recommend your son with acetaminophen?
