My son hates brushing and now he have tooth cavity. What should i do?

Hi. My child is 7 now and he doesn't like brushing his teeth. I strictly direct him to brush his teeth twice daily. But he never brushes well and also doesn't have any care for his tooth. He always follows unhealthy diets. He eats a lot of chocolate and sugary snacks. Whenever I try to make him brush, he will start crying. I am fed up with my child's behavior. Now I think his teeth started to decay and have a cavity in his right molars. When I shared this with one of my colleagues, she suggested taking him to a children's dentist in Ajax I have heard that using fluoride mouthwash can help to prevent tooth decay and cavities. Will it help in my son's situation? What will be the treatment procedures to remove cavity? Can a single visit solve his problem?

Not brushing your teeth everyday is a big no-no. Ban your son from eating unhealthy foods until he brushed teeth. Try to set up rewards such as extra TV time so that he is more encouraged to brush his teeth.
