My splendid hemorroidectomy recovery

Hi, I'm Samuel and I am here to give hope to all of us who have had a hemorroidectomy done like myself. I had mine done to remove two internal hemorrhoids from my anus. I have been battling this issue since my high school days and I'm currently just one year above the teen age range. The pain after the surgery was like nothing I have ever experienced! I had to sometimes hug my Mom around her torso just to get a pencil like piece of poop outta my anus! I dreaded every bowel movement and I kept telling God to kill me cos I thought I couldn't take anymore of the pain. **But heyy, I am not here to describe how painful the recovery has been. Like I said I'm here to give us hope by sharing with us how I've become so better all within a space of less than 2 weeks post-op! **
Number one: I learnt to trust God. I know you'd probably be thinking something like, "Okay, seriously?" right now but hear me out dear, it's true! Shortly before all this hemorroidectomy trouble started, I read a text in John 16:33 where Jesus was saying to his disciples something like, "Look guys, you'd definitely have trouble in this world. But take heart for I have overcome the world". When my pain got so intense and I kept asking God what I had done to deserve this, this verse almost always shot up. And then gradually, my focus started shifting from complaining to actually learning to be thankful even in my pain. I remember reading comments from this site 5 days post-op one morning and after going through a lot of them, I was beginning to feel depressed. 3 months after this surgery and somebody is still complaining about intense pain? I was very downhearted. I am a student and nursing anal wounds and dealing with crazy pain wasn't part of my plans. But I remembered what God has said concerning me in His Word and then I stood up and I was like, "That's not going to happen to me". Dear reader, I say to the glory of God that I stopped taking pain medications 6 days post-op and I haven't needed to take any ever since! I still have pain with bowel movement. But I'm not as scared as I was before. And it recedes within 5 minutes. Whenever I feel the urge, I say, "So help me God", sit down and do my business with a grateful heart. I haven't felt depressed about this surgery I had ever since!
Number Two: God showed me a way to reduce the pain during bowel movement through coughing. So sometimes when I sit on the seat, I wait until the urge is great and then one cough brings everything tumbling down.
Number Three: I changed my diet. Now I drink as much as 10 glasses of water and eat at least one fruit a day(pineapples, pawpaws, oranges, bananas etc. I'm from Africa so this is what I have around me). I also eat a lot of high fibre diet and avoid bread and other foods rich in flour.
In conclusion, I feel so good and I'm amazed at how quickly I've recovered. And with pain or no pain, I know that God's got me. He'll surely give me what's good for me😇...And He would do same for you too. Give Him a chance, would you? Thanks for reading
