Hello again, I wasn't able to logon for over a year on here but I am back. Five years ago June 2017 I went down with G.F the worst six months of my life. With a unbalanced feeling being the worst symptom. In December of that year I was put on Levothyroxine as it turns out G/F caused my immune system to attack the thyroid. When I took the Levo. I started to get better and the dizziness faded. Please people ask for thyroid Blood tests.

Hi, are you still on the Levothyroxine, or are you able to get off of it once fixed? Also i have been having some issues. I got mono back in December 2021. It peaked in late December/early January. Since then it has been getting better. I feel good physically and almost back to my normal self. My mental health on the other hand isnt great. Anxiety and depression peaked when the mono peaked, and have gone down with it, but at a slower rate. I still just dont feel right mentally (This is completely abnormal for me and I hate how I feel). I have periods of 5-7 days where I'll feel like my old self, just happy and cheerful. Then all of the sudden I can feel it coming back, and for the next 1-2 weeks ill just have this cloudy not right feeling (I just feel bad mentally). Could this be caused by the thyroid? Do you know if these ups and downs are normal? Thanks

Yes very normal. Ill be honest It took me 6+ months to get to some normality. Levothyroxine is a lifelong medication. At the minute I am having issues with my thyroid gland. They reckon I have been over medicated. so my TSH is 0.05

I you go to healthunlocked thyroid uks forum. So many on there with prior EBV infection that then leads to having thyroid problems.
