My Stupid Poem to cheer us up xx

Posted , 2 users are following.

I am seeing A Doc on Thursday to talk about my pills

Am I taking too many?, and what if I get the chills... (well it ryhmed)

I do hope you all feel well and seizure free for years to be

Remember we are in this together like all of you and me !

Now I know they make us scared and we feel rather sh*tty (sorry)

But please don’t be afraid, as we do not need the pity

As long as we can smile and perhaps sing along with us All

We can overcome this in our own way, and we can stand tall

Try a smile when feeling rough,  honestly it helps us cope

Here’s to  the future and may it always be  filled with  good hope

We have each other to confide in, so be well one and all

Next time I hear from you, I hope You All Stand Tall

Most certainly , I was up to 2000 mil a day of depakote but it wasn't doing the trick so I'm phasing into 1000 mil a day of keppra.

Tomorrow I'll be off dep completely and into keppra....

with that in mind my ears still ring continually with headache

Still having multiple petit mal seizures throughout the day.....

theres never been anything I haven't been able to at least sit down and figure out in time but this thing is something different ....

another appointment with neurologist a week from tomorrow ....

      Hi David and Allen,

I have been on Phenobarbitone since 14 and now way old lol

They then put me on librium then valium both useless, lol I feel like a guinea pig for them..then the worst pills were Epanutin so now with gaps in my teeth caused by Epanutin and they decided Epanutin was no good !! Ta Docs

The only one that has been okay is phenobarbitone, Keppra made me sleep. Bet you wished you hadn't asked now David,  lol

Keep well Both     Allen,  glad you could smile xx xx Be well xx

I don't know much about phenobarbitone but I know librium and vallium were the two drugs used to treat my ex-wife who has MS, so seems strange to use for epilepsy.  My mixture of Keppra and Epilim do a reasonable job but not 100%, probably very few people find a 100% fix if they are honest.

David I'm going back years I am that old lol  xx

There was a scare about valium years ago so Doc advised me to come off them.  Epanutin are rough on the liver and gums.  So sticking with what doesn't do me as much harm but since Doc upped my pheno's I smell lol xx  But nobody believes me arggghhhh lol xx

Winnie, have you tried Gabapentin or Vimpat. Zebinix is the new one Tegretol. Then there's Zonegran. But I find Clobazam are a good drug. All the best, Karen

I have been on phenobarbitones for so long i am scared to stop them as they are the only ones that do not give me any side effects, she says !! ha ha

The other drugs they put me on were awful for me Epanutins being the worst, also when in hospital they lowered my phenobarbitone intake  and I came home and had 8 seizures in 1 day.albeit mild ones and I cannot remember that?? So back to phenobarbs !!  Love to you all... gaba's have another name also  don't they ?

Win xxxxxx Clobazam hmm I'll ask Doc about them  ta Karen xxxx
