My surgery was fine .

Had left hand done 18 months ago , right hand 12 months ago . The surgery was preformed at the local health centre by a nurse practitioner who specialised in carpal tunnel release surgery . I was at the centre for about 1 hour , including waiting time and a cup of tea and biscuit after . I have had no problems whatsoever since . My life has improved greatly , full use of both hands and no tingling at all . After reading some posts on here I guess I was lucky .

Hi David, mine was a disaster, which I haven't recover yet, and since then both hands are worse, tingling at night, pain extended to the elbows, etc.
It will be possibile to have name and telephone number of your nurse?
Thanks in advance
Rita

You don't need a specialist nurse after failed surgery - you need a good hand surgeon, neurologist or rheumatologist depending on the exact pattern of symptoms and signs and previous history. Someone who specialises in doing uncomplicated first time around carpal tunnel surgery, as these practitioners do, is not going to have the expertise to deal with a failed operation. Dr J Bland
