I wish I could help Keith, I'm afraid my knowledge of blood results and results are very minimal. I'm hoping there can be someone on the site here with good knowledge and advice regarding this that can post and that it can offer some reassurance and help put your mind at ease.

Hoping you are doing okay Keith - hang in there and remember this virus does get better, even though it can take time, the vast vast vast majority of people make a full recovery and get back to full health even after an extensive period of feeling unwell with it - so hang in there and thinking of you.

I recently went to an Immunologist specialist and he explained some of the numbers to be. From my understanding the EBV Nuclear AG at 552 generally means you have had the virus at some point in your life. I went on line and looked up most of my numbers to understand what they meant. EBV IGG refelcts whether or not the virus is still active....35 is considered dormant.

I definitely recommend going over your results with your doctor. My primary doctor did let me know that the symptoms could last up to 6 months.

Thanks for explaining this Stacie, yes definitely sounds wise to see if the doctor can go over and explain the blood test results. I know it's not always easy to get this information from doctors though, just hoping they can help and offer some time and reassurance with this for you Keith and everyone looking for some help and guidance.

Often with this virus it is just a time factor. For me it took me an extended period of time to really see a breakthrough and a turning point, it was a horrible time in my life just the worst, I do empathise but want to reassure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel with this thing and things do get better, even if it takes a little while for full recovery. I know it was only down to God that I was able to recover as I was in such an awful state with it physically, mentally and emotionally. God is the great healer, hang in there, there IS hope and recovery from this thing thanks to Him.
