My TN is cutting through my 75mg dosage of Pregabalin

Great! For some unknown reason after being on 75mg of Pregablin my TN is cutting through the dosage. I'm back in pain again. I had such an electric shock feeling in my lower jaw that I had to grab my face and squeeze it. Ridiculous. I'm waiting for my GP to phone me back to see if it's ok to increase another 25mg.

Just drinking, eating and talking set it off. What amuses me is my teeth are ok yet when you drink it sets of the electric shocks.

I think I may try what another poster said and that's tablets for Varicose veins for two days and TN disappeared.

Anyone else tried that remedy?

No,but I will. Your dosage with pregabalin is rather low, Three times a day is right for me and I weigh 77 kilos.imeant to say 3x 75 mg, if you came down from 150before you are surely ok for 25 more. My doc started me after 2 years remission with 75 at night and 50am.A broken hip caused my remission but I don't recommend trying it.. I My remission ended last Dec so in only 4months I have tripled my meds. Well, approx.IWas so busy with my doc helping me quit benzos,Mr.Pain made me forget th gradually increase,Well, under control except on waking.Get out of bed gradually!

yes, I agree with Maggie 80535, your dose is rather low. When i started on pregbalin at 75mg twice a day as ordered by my Neurologist, my GP said it was a very low dose. Since then i have moved it up another 25 mg night and morning but i have only been on that for two days. GP says it will take a week to know if that is enough but the usual dose for it to take effect is 300mg. hoping...

When my Dr first prescribed me Pregablin he said because they are strong you have to start off on 25mg twice a day and gradually increase the dosage by 25mg per week. I'm on 100mg twice a day now. I don't know how I'm going to be after a week but will have to wait and see.
