My trial failed. TN is still here. :(

Well my reduced dosage of Pregabalin to see if my TN had disappeared, as my 9 months is up, has failed. I reduced my dosage by 25mg from 75mg to 50mg and within a week the pain shot back with awful electric shocks in my right Jaw and right thru my teeth. So now I'm back on 75mg and waiting for the dosage to settle.

My 9 months history is quite evident does not work with Pregabalin as it did with the Tegretol I used to be on. I guess as you get older these prescribed drugs obviously works differently.

So god knows how long I will have this TN for now.

Sorry to hear that.i have had horrendous gum and mouth pain all  morning since I woke at 6 to let the cat out.Now noon. Just added  another 25mg pregabalin.I took normal dose of 75 mg at 4am and never did anything up against the TN.I think it's moving your head to a different angle. Also took 5mg oxycodone which I usually take if I have a flare up at night. So won't be looking forward to waking.in future.Best Wishes

After 30years of suffering, I have found out that an effective remedy for TN is just two pills of anti varicose vein tablets twice a day for two days.

Use alternative herbal tablets which cause minimum side effects

Really! Can't wait to get to the chemist and try that theory .I would be so happy. Thank you.

If the chemist wants more details, ask him to give you simple  tablets given for treating haemarrhoids (which are also caused by exacerbation of varicose veins)

      Hi Osur Raghu

Yes, I'm seriously thinking of trying those varicose vein tablets. Although I'm a bit wary at the moment because they may interact with the medication I'm already on. So I will probably ask at my chemist first. Thanks for the tip.
