My withdrawal progress

Posted , 11 users are following.

Hi together.

Yesterday it was my 6th night on 7.5mg of Mirtazapine (instead of 15mg). Moreover I could not take my dose on Saturday since my wife was celebrating her birthday so I had a few bottles of beer and did not want to combine it with med. What I experience so far is maybe slightly worse sleeping (really slightly worse). In this thread I would like to post my progress of withdrawal since I know many of people here go or would like to go through it as well and such threads would be very helpful for me.

My questions now:

1) did anybody experience really heavy back pain + shoulder pain + weakness in arms and palms (fingers) - all the time while on Mirtazapine?

2) did anybody experience huge volume of stool every day - all the time while on Mirtazapine?

Thank you all!

    DAY 214:

    Hello dear all.

After some time I just wanted to provide you with another dose of encouragement. Still I am on 7.5mg of Mirtazapine (+10mg Lexapro in the morning). Anyway, it seems, that after a certain period of time the nervous system gets better and better. Oh yes, still there are unusual bowel movements, very mild flu like feeling or malaise feeling, tiredness, etc. But all of these significantly mitigated! I am still able to work, to sleep, to eat ... I live ... with some limitations BUT I LIVE! I visit sauna twice a week to get some relax ... I go to a special exercises called "anti-gravity" once a week. Nowadays, beside the job, I help my brother with reconstruction of his flat. Briefly said - I am very slowly getting to what I call NORMAL. And it really gives me more and more encouragement for another taper down. Next year definitely I would like to go off all the PsyMeds I am on today.

Have a good day and a lot of luck to all of you! There is success at the end smile

      Hi Neogenx

Glad to read you feel you're improving, thats great.  How long have you been at 7.5 mg again??  I was just chatting today to another Mirt' taperer - we seem to agree that once below 7.5 mg it improves - so within a little while you should be even better smile

Keep up the poisitive, sounds great all round smile

    Hello together.

It's been a long time since I updated here. Almost 8 months I guess. Well today I am sooo happy to announce that I successfully weened myself off Lexapro I have been on 10mg for more then year. I started to taper down beginning this year and yesterday I took my last "crumb" of that. I also started to taper down from 7.5mg of Mirtazapine beginning April. So far so good I would say. Generally I fel pretty well, I visit a gym 4 times a week ... I just wanted to encourage all of you suffering from either from Mirtz or other ADs and looking for answers or support... Stay strong and the things will improve!!!

      Pleased for you smile

Getting under 7.5 mg of Mirt it gets better & better.  For me 7.5 Mirt wasn't a good place, so as always I wish you well, keep going strong Neo, all the best.

      Thank you, Calmer.

Currently I am @ approximately 5.8mg ... so far no significant issues - just vivid dreams return sometimes, backache (therefore I exerise so often in a gym), sore eyes (like sand feeling in them) and of course still exhausted the most of the morning. BUT - I feel big improve so I struggle brave and want everybody to know that it is possible. I was in very dark places more than year ago but now I am in the light again :-)
