My worst day ever!

Posted , 4 users are following.

I have never felt so ill in all my life. I have been on 50mg since Christmas and I was raised to 100mg last week as I was having multiple panic attacks. The side effects this weekend have horrific. I have been very sick from both ends.. sometimes at the same time sad

Today though I feel fine, it's so wierd that you get like that then the next day is different.

My doctor is thinking of puttling me on beta blockers to calm my body down, has anyone else had them with Sertraline?

Hi James, I've been on sertraline for over a year, I was also prescribed Propanolol (beta blockers) to help and they do really help. I tried to come off the sertraline about a month ago and it all went wrong, since then I've been back up to my normal dose (50mg/day) and have been in quite a few distressed states, I've ended up shaking uncontrollably from head to toe, crying etc and the Propanolol helps calm me right down. The side effects have started to settle now so don't need to use them much but I always carry them with me for security! Before trying to come off them, I felt absolutely fine and back to normal so please be reassured that things will settle for you

    Regards

    Jodie

Hi Sarah, have you got a partner/husband?

I really understand how you're feeling, I've been through hell and back, I've got 3 children and it's so tough to keep going but trust me, you will feel better. Having gone through coming off of them myself, I really wouldn't recommend stopping them, go back on them and stick with it. Have you always suffered with anxiety?

It's ok Sarah don't worry all that is bec your brain is used to this chemical to balance its mood and when you stopped it all by once for 3 days you started to feel withdrawl symptoms bec when you stop you should stop slowly so you didn't mean to stop it . Go back on your dose and everything will settle down . My doc told me why not to take a medicine when it will help you be happy or cope as you have a little girl we all think of our kids who gives us the boost to be ok . I will take anything that keeps me normal and happy for my kids go for it dear I promise you everything will settle down .😍

Started some new medication today to help me combat the panic attacks. My Doctor has put me on Beta Blockers to try and reduce the need for valium, I know the Beta Blockers are not a fix, but they help slow me down so that the panic attacks are not as intense. So with 100mg of Sertraline and these new pills I might finally get to the other side!
