My younger sister is going through severe sacroiliac pain, is there any relief treatments?

My sister is currently 15 and fell on her tailbone at a soccer match 1 year ago. Since then, she has been having severe sacroiliac pain that comes and goes during the day and worsens at night. She has to take painkillers daily as the pain radiates from her sacrum to just above her bum and down her legs. We have tried reflexology, chiropractic work, physiotherapy, medicated ointments, and essential oils. If anyone can share some wisdom on this problem I will forever appreciate it.

Hello there! So sorry to hear your sister is going through this experience. I am assuming the x ray didn't show anything at the time, but it's always good to re-check. I am a physical therapist, and I would recommend she goes back to physical therapy and exhausts all routes. If nothing helps most likely she will end up in surgery, so I strongly recommend physical therapy. In our practice we adjust exercises when they stop working or don't work at all. We will also do ultrasound therapy, massages, and other modalities, so look for a therapy practice that will offer this or more. We have a high rate of patient satisfaction, so I know this is your best bet to getting better. Hope this helps. Keep us posted on her recovery!
