Naltrexone and other drugs

I stupidly, you have to understand that I'm suffering from AUD as well as withdrawing from paxal( seroxat/ peroxatine) over the last month. I took a naltrexone beacause I was stressed. I'd forgotten that I'd taken codeine that morning from Paxil withdrawal. I needed to drink which didn't turn into a binge as I only drank a little wine. Ended up being very ill for several days and still am. My dr gave me codeine for Paxil withdrawel. Can I take diazepam with naltrexone or does that also contain opiates?

There is a reaction between Paxil and Diaz...but nothing with Naltraxone.

I'm going to PM you with how I know this.

Using naltrexone together with codeine is not recommended. Naltrexone can block the effects of codeine and make the medication less effective in treating your condition. If you have been receiving codeine for a while (for example, a week or longer), naltrexone can also precipitate withdrawal symptoms. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

I know you can't take codeine, cocodomol or anything like with naltrexone. I just plain forgot I'd taken it that morning. My short term memory is fogged by Paxil withdrawel and/ or AUD. I didn't drink much wine and through rest down the sink. The next day I realised what must have happened. Think it was last Thurday. Not had codeine or alcohol since.

Hope you're managing with your withdrawals today.

Ive started campral today, fingers crossed. Xx

Campral works if you work it.

      I slacked on it....maybe because I knew emotionally I didn't care anymore.
