Narrow Eye Angles and PVD

I have been diagnosed with narrow eye angles and have been told I need a laser procedure called an iridotomy. A few weeks ago I also had a Posterior Vitreous Detachment. It was so frightening with flashing and loads of floaters. The flashing has subsided but has left with an excess of floaters and what feels like a film over my right eye. I am terrified of having the laser procedure and I wondered if anyone else had been through this for narrow eye angles?
