What alternatives are you reffering too?
I take magnesium, black seed oil, allicin, turmeric, apple cider vinegar, coq10, pro biotic, cod liver oil, (vitamin b and vitamin d every other day) alongside sertraline and diazepam as and when is needed.
My understanding is that theanine may help instead of a benzo such as clonazepam/diazepam but I havent personally tried as there is not a massive amount of research regarding this.
With regards to a ssri supplement I think St Johns Wart is meant to help but comes with its own complications
No matter what you do it is still important to tell your doctor because if anything happens to you they then have a record of what you are taking
Other than that there is CBT, Meditation, Hypnotherapy, Visual Therapy which are also natural alternatives but you mmay find these are better whilst taking medication until you feel better. Again i am doing CBT and will be speaking to a psychologist hopefully who are more advanced than a GP in this field

Hi, thanks for taking the time to answer. I am currently taking Sertraline 50mg and clonazepam .5mg but I know clonazepam
is an addictive drug son I was looking into natural supplements that can be used instead of benzos. How long have you been taking the medications?

I have been taking them both since about September last year. I have had in total 100 Diazepam prescribed in this time and out if that have 9 here. Yes they are addictive and the withdrawl "can" be dreadful even deadly but the same can be said about blood pressure medications for example.
The benzos for me just take the edge of the anxiety and side effects from the sertralines. But I use as and when not daily unless I am having a bad week. For example yesterday was my brothers Birthday and we all went to my parents. I woke up felt spaced out so had 1 x 2mg diazepam, about dinner time now at my parents felt on edge (6 kids running around in total) so had another 2mg then when I come home I had another 2mg before bed so a total of 6mg Diazepam in one day now today I have had none and will try not to because of the addictive nature like you say.
I also have Bachs natural flower remedy dropper which is natural and helps but not as much as the diazepam you could try
