NATURAL REMEDY STARTS WORKING WITHIN A FEW DAYS

Hi to all you LS sufferers out there, I'm 63 and had it so servere that my life was a living hell, l was competent horse rider and a very active person all that changed. I have had LS for about 10 years and it got to the stage where l ended up with multiple ulcers six or seven at a time that would NEVER go away because as some were healing new ones would appear and it was a never ending cycle, then l was hospitalised for three days as l had 11 ulcers at the one time and could not pee as the pain was so excruciating l had tried everything , nothing worked then l though enough is enough. None of the cortisone or steroid creams were helping at all in fact l think that they were making it worse. Out of sheer desperation l threw everything out and started to apply olive oil to the LS just the cheap plain home brand olive oil that l had in the pantry. Within three days the ulcers started to heal but the the best thing was that NO more were appearing they were finally clearing up and the burning and itching was also disappearing as well and the only thing l was using was the olive oil. Within two weeks l had absolutely no itching or burning and NO more ulcers, the skin that had suffered from the LS was now soft again. That was eight months ago. l now enjoy a normal pain free sex life again the skin stretches without burning or tearing (just use plenty of lube) and l had an excessive amount of white patches which has now mostly disappeared all thanks to the olive oil. My gyno was amazed at the improvement, there is no swelling, no dryness, NO inflammation and almost all of the white patches have disappeared even the scaring and lesions have completely healed, he was so impressed that he has documented my success and is monitoring my continual improvement he has even now started several other patients on the same treatment that were having little or no positive results on the steroids and cortisone creams. Ok this is all l do l have an egg cup full of olive oil that l leave in the toilet and when l go to the toilet l pat the area dry, liberally apply the olive oil in around and between my labia lips ,clit and up inside my vagina as far as possible soaking everything in the oil then gently pat with toilet paper the area ALMOST dry but leaving the area still moist. That is it, that is all l do nothing more, l have a small container that l fill with oil and pop in my purse if I'm going out for the day . I use the oil EVERY time l go to the bathroom. You will notice a distinct improvement within about three days and 100% Within a couple of weeks. Good luck to all those who try this l hope it works for you as well as it has worked for me, l now ride my horses everyday and can were tight jeans without any issues at all which was a thing of the past. It's natural it's cheap and everyone one of us has olive oil in our pantry . 😀😀😀

Holy Smokes. thanks for the info, I'll start it today. Was so bad last night I almost went crazy. When it's bad I use Vaseline and that helps some. Anybody out there found that some foods helps or hurt.?

I had not thought about foods until I read your post, but I quit eating dairy about two months ago and my symptoms are very nearly gone. I don't know if that has to do with quitting dairy or not because I also started doing some recommendations: plain celery juice on an empty stomach every morning or plain lemon juice on an empty stomach every morning.

I've heard about the lemon juice in warm water in the mornings.

Hi, I'am trying to help my 80 year old mother-in-law whom has a severe case of LS. She has had it for years and is only now trying alternative therapies with my help. She is torn and been through numerous biopsies that won't heal. I have given her Aloe/turmeric blend to help her heal. She likes it that so far. I have given her coconut oil but feels she wants something more. Though she is feeling more supple and I asked her not to discontinue until we have a replacement. She is complaining about internal itching. It is driving her into madness. She cries sometimes. What can I do for internal itchiness? Did the olive oil help with that. How would she do it? Also, will any of this lead to a yeast infection. I just want to help her so bad. Thanks for any advice!

My heart is with your mother-in-law! I have not experienced the internal itching, I just mentioned in a previous reply that I quit eating and drinking dairy a couple of months ago and my symptoms are about gone. You are a dear to do this research for your MIL, I hope you do find relief for her.

Shelby, I'm very new here, and to LS, is your MIL's internal itch vaginal or rectum? If vaginal, maybe it "IS" yeast... If it is anal, maybe some sort of suppository???

but here is what I've figured out so far:

      1. NO Sugar, no dairy, limited wheat.
      2. Start every day with some sort of barrier - vaseline or one of the barrier creams
      3. Include coconut oil at least once a day - I don't know why, but I do better with it.
      4. Use aloe vera gel (no alcohol) occasionally during the day.
      5. Vaseline again at night....or maybe vitamin e oil (it's a little smelly, so I don't do it in the daytime.)
      6. Dab don't wipe in the toilet.

You have to just pay attention. I can't use olive oil, it CAUSES itch. My derm says that it is not uncommon for some people to have reactions to these natural plant based oils...just like some of us react to poison ivy, others don't. Find what works for you.

Snappy, when do you apply the steroid?

Have you tried reintroducing those foods and if so did you notice a difference?

I've gone years consuming very little sugar, am lactose intolerant so consume very little dairy and have been trying (not very successfully) to go gluten free (but have cut way back) for at least the past 4 months. Seems not to make a bit of difference with the LS. Oh, I have even cut way back on wine and caffeine. Was hoping I'd at least lose 5 lbs but not even has that happened!

      Beverly,

At first I was to apply the steroid 2 x day...morning and night. But, now only at night. They said that this is the best time to get max value because you are mostly still and it stays put for your sleep time.

Yes, I had a series of 2 birthdays and a houseguest, did a few days of a slice of cake and/or cookie...and BOOM! there it is...I don't thing it is "causal" but surely a trigger. Not sure, but coincidental.

SHELBY: Thought of your MIL over night: have you tried the BORAX? I bought a box to have on hand if I have a flare-up...sounds like that might be worth a try with your mom. Wonder if you can search these threads for "borax"...my notes that I took when I first started looking through these posts says "Every day..hot as you can stand it about a teaspoon of borax and 1\2 teaspoon of baking soda. For about 15 minutes." I think you added enough water to make a paste, then make a sort of compress. I'd try it for her. But, maybe someone else on this thread can chime in with experience.

I used a steroid cream for five years and it made very little difference, after my biopsy the consultant told me to use Aqueous Cream instead and it has cleared everything up in just five weeks. I have no redness, itching or blotches, nothing and I haven't had an itching situations at all.

. It was very uncomfortable with the steroid creams and the relief was very short lived, if you can get hold of some Aqueous Cream its worth a try, be patient and use it every time you go to the bathroom. I didn't believe it would work at first but carried on with it and now my life is much happier and I can wear any sort of jeans, tights or anything else where I couldn't before.

Snappy, depending on the country you're in you may have to send for it.

Thanks so much for the tips! I did read that thread and I am certainly going to mention it to her. At the moment I suggested she try baking soda and see how that works. I have her on some good remedies and it's been only two weeks and she just told me she is beginning to feel some relief. I am going to mention the Borax once we see some initial healing. She is very raw and sensitive. I don't want to overwhelm her but will keep this one up my sleeve for a few weeks. It's been a life saver having this forum. All the ideas we are using came from this site and they're working!

The relief for me came from Olive Oil and cleaning each time with a squirt bottle of water with baking soda.I was in so much agony until I started this.I dab olive oil everywhere in the area of the vagina and rectum.

Hi Nancy, I was wondering when you use the baking soda rinse do you need to rinse with anything else afterwards and before using olive oil? It seems there would be bits of baking soda left or does that just totally dissolve?

I bought a plastic squirt bottle like they use in restaurants for mustard and ketchup put one teaspoon or more and then fill it up with water. I squirt it all over every time I go to the bathroom, pat down and liberally apply olive oil. I stay clean and lubricated. Suffered many years, went to several doctors, purchase expensive medical creams. This gave me almost immediate relief and has kept LS under control.

Thank you Nancy. I am going to suggest she try this and keeping my fingers crossed! 😃

shelby & nancy, I got to see my vulval specialist yesterday and as always there was more to talk about than I could get to. I brought my notes expecting to compile them while waiting the usual hour, but I was called in immediately so had to fumble thru my notebook and missed some things. But I did get to tell her I was having success with the Baking Soda rinse apparently affecting PH (which has controlled the bacteria) as it has cured any odor & fleeting internal itch issue. She was surprised as she said it would actually affect the PH in the wrong direction, but I noticed she did make note of it.

Re amount I use just a small amount (1/4 tspn) in a cup or more of warm water and mix it with a spoon. I do not rinse off afterward as it is quite diluted. I don't used it after urination; only when feeling discomfort. Maybe once/twice a day and before bedtime as I shower in the AM.

There is a theory LS may actually be caused by bacteria, but I didn't get a chance to ask about that. I'm just happy I haven't needed to resort to any antibiotics.

I'm not using olive oil. Just coconut oil or a bit of vaseline (the latter based on my gyn's saying it has a neutral PH and is good to use with estrogen at night).
