natural way to replace hormones?????

Last time I was on estradiol as a hormone pill and got a scare when my leg turned black and blue thought it was a clot but it wasn't thankfully. So my question is .... Is there a way I can get my hormones working without taking the pills?

More sun? Foods? Anything?

Quote from the current NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines, based on studying all the latest evidence.

"HRT tablets (but not patches or gels) are linked with a higher risk of developing a blood clot"

If you are worried about blood clots, ask to have HRT as a patch (or gel), rather than a tablet.  Google NICE HRT risks and benefits for more information.

Some of the "natural" suppolements are not as well regulated and tested as those available on prescription and can have their own side effects.  Black Cohosh, for instance has been linked to liver damage in some people.
