Nausea

i have been on escitalopram 20mg for around 10 years now, i did not have any problems or side effects when i started it. around 4 years ago a began to feel nauseous and not quite right for no reason, it has continued to this day. i have had tests and doctors cant find out why i would be nauseous. is it a possibility that the antidepressent can suddenly make me nausous or has any one experienced somthing like this. i have found on the internet the side effect of eacitalopram can be nausea and stomach upset but normally happens when you first start the medication . any advice ?

I would say, if your doctor made tests and everything is fine that maybe its what you eat!?

Maybe there is something you are intolerant of...like dairy, gluten...?

or maybe you can check with a naturopath.

A smooth detox of you liver can help.

You have also been on this med for a while. Do you only have digest issues? How is your anxiety /depression? cause those can bring the same issues. maybe review your dosage or a mes change?

    take care

So you were on this drug for 6 years before you felt nausea. I dont think it has anything to do with the drug atall...unless it has pooped out on you..if that was the case, you would be feeling anxiety, depression, whatever you had before you started it.....These meds dont cure anything, they only mask the symptoms...only you can figure out, if its the drug or not...it could be something unrelated , like your diet, are you taking anything for the nausea..?
