Nausea and A-Fib

Seeking any thoughts or insights that might help with my mom's current condition.

Starting about a year ago, after my mom ate dinner, she had terrible stomach pain and diarrhea, which led to light headedness and her heart racing. A few months went by, and the same thing happened, and then a few months and it happened again. During this time, she experienced frequent burping and bloating in her lower abdomen. She eats a very healthy diet: oatmeal and yogurt in the morning, avocado toast/turkey for lunch, and typically a meat based dinner: chicken, fish, steak, etc. She also exercised 3-4 times/week before she got sick.

In late June, seemingly out of nowhere, she experienced atrial fibrillation and was taken to the hospital, where she stayed for 4 days. During that time, her heart continued to race and she was unable to keep anything down. After multiple weeks and multiple tests (endoscopy, colonoscopy, MRI, and allergy tests for celiacs, etc.) the only thing that was irregular was her gallbladder. It essentially was not doing its job, and it seemed like this would be the ticket to her feeling better.

She got her gallbladder taken out 3 weeks ago, and the nausea she's experiencing is as bad as before. It only presents itself in the mornings, and then gradually subsides throughout the day so that by nighttime, she feels okay. But then it starts all over. Ativan habeen the closest thing to making her feel better, but it's only effective about 20% of the time. Other medications she is taking: Metoprolol for atrial fibrillation, Eliquis for anticoagulation, Protonix for acid reflux. Zofran and phenergan have been ineffective. interesting point to consider is that the only day she didn't feel nauseous was when she avoided food altogether.

She is typically very active, fun, and social. Now, she doesn't leave the house and cries every time we speak. My whole family is desperate to figure out a solution. Thanks all for your thoughts and insights. Happy to answer questions.
