Nausea for 8 months and counting

Hi,
I am so desperate for answers. I have felt nauseated for over 8 months with the first month being constant chills every night but no vomitting. I have had 2 blood tests since it started. The nausea is creating so many problems in my life and has added to anxiety and been the stem of many panic attacks. It is killing me. I feel hopeless. Please help. Every time I go to the doctors they don't help and just tell me to come back if it still persists, which it always does. Could it be a problem to do with my stomach lining? I have tried omeprazole to treat gas reflux but it did not help at all. I have tried every anti-nausea pill in the world, to no avail. I have never had any food intolerances and the nausea fluctuates but not that much at all so it wouldn't make sense to be to do with my diet because even if I don't eat for 2 days, I still feel nauseated.
I'm currently being referred to a specialist but it's going to take ages. In the mean time, my GP prescribed me Laxido for two weeks, two sachets a day. It is so disgusting it makes me gag, so I dissolve it in water then add a splash of tropical juice to make the luke warm salty tasting water less strong. I hope that's ok to do. I just took my first dose (one sachet) an hour ago and I'm getting a dull pain in my mid right abdomen. Touching the area makes it feel sensitive and it feels a bit hard to the touch.
Thank you.

making life very difficult and an ordeal. A scope showed bit of gastritus, though gastrologist wasnt sure it could cause such severe nausea, but was prescibed omprazole 40mg a day have settled it 90percent, what dose omp did you take and for how long, took two weeks taking for mine to help, l,d also changed my diet to plain food and small meals.
But there are different causes and meds diet that helps, itc could be once you see a gastrologist and have a scope the cause might be found, if your able a private consulation would speed up appt. l,m sure others will relate and advice you. Keep battling it will improve in time, best wishes.

I'm so sorry you're going through this too.. I'm only 20, soon to turn 21 and I've been like this for a year and a half. In the last month I've had a lot of improvement but I have been on ppi's (omeprazole didn't work for me for 3 months so changed to pantoprazole) for the whole time and they have obviously had no real effect on me as they usually start to work after the 3 week mark.
I also had scope, showed 'mold' gastritis and a small hiatal hernia. Diagnosed with GERD so acid reflux. Like you, I was referred to a consultant and it took months to get there as the NHS has such a long waiting list... I received no real help. He told me that I must be exaggerating and that what I have can't cause nausea this badly. My gp is lovely but at a loss as no one knows what it is and most people think we are making it up.
What I can tell you is I know how you feel as it has completely ruined my life. I lost my jobs and had to defer my university place and am still not 100% sure I'll be able to go this year.
I've tried every type of diet under the sun and had no change on anything. I currently eat relatively healthy, small portions between 5 and 7 times a day and do light exercise (power walking and leg muscle builders) 5 times a week... As said previously, after a long as hell almost 2 years I'm just starting to feel better.. The nausea is only severe after eating sometimes and now I barely get it day to day but ALWAYS have some discomfort in my stomach.. Almost like a tender feeling? As if I've been repeatedly punched and it's bruised.
I'm sorry this is happening to you but I hope you take some comfort in knowing I understand you. I truly believe there is something wrong and it will clear up extremely slowly after time. (We kind of have to hope right?). Don't stop seeing your go! Let them know how you're feeling every time you see them.
Things that are a DEFINITE no no:
No tomato it's too acidic
No smoking
No alcohol
Nothing with any spice in it at all
No citrus fruit
Don't lie down after eating try and leave 2 hours between..
Cut out as much refined sugar as you can!
No caffeine (it plays havoc with acid in your stomach and is also very bad for nausea).
If you need to know anything else that you think I can help with I'm only a personal message away!
X
