Hi;have not posted recentlySluggish heart that has resulted in fluid on lungs, swollen ankles and abdominal swelling.Mainly under control with spironolactone. It may seem odd query but over last 4days have had nausea in the afternoon that gets worse as say progresses.Appetite very poor and by evening/teatime cannot face food.Good for weight loss (and I have quite a lot to lose).Does anyone else with "sluggish"heart have nausea problems.See cardiologist in two weeks and do not know if I should mention it

Yes i would mention to your Cardiologist the problems your having and nausea
also try phoning Cardilogy Appointments Reception and ask to be put on a cancellation list so if anyone cancels they can contact you to be seen more urgently.Or mention you would like to be seen earlier because you feel your Cardiologist should know the symptoms you are having ,just be firm and get
what you want as its your health which is most important.
Best of luck .

You should ask for additional test as weight loss and stomach issues with congestive heart failure needs to be addressed and treated. The water pill your on isn't enough medication to treat your issues.

My husbands has heart failure, and I have saved his life 4 times now by taking him to the emergency department.
We are in australia so have universal hospital care.
If you have hugely swollen ankles and this is a new symtom I would be going to the hospital for them to have a look at you, they can also check you lungs to see how much fluid you have built up there as well, if it is tooo much it could be fatal, as fluid builds in your lungs you get more breathless, and very sleepy or our passing out from lack of oxygen, my husband does exactly that, and much to his dis-pleasure I take him to the heart hospital across town, where they save his life once more, at least once we ran very close to him dying, too much fluid for them to be able to help him.
His normal heartbeat is somewhere about 60, that is caused by medication the Dr's have given him to slow down his heart so it can rest.
Do you know what your Ejection Fraction is, that has been a very big indicator for us of where my husband is with his heart failure, recent echocardiogram his ejection fraction had fallen again, 3 previous echo's had the same result, so that was telling us he was getting worse rather than better, also very breathless, even just talking to friends had him gasping for breath, lacking energy, and pain in his left arm which Dr's continued to dismiss as not related to his heart condition, they were wrong, after they installed pacemaker the pain in his left arm disappeared instantly.
