I randomly had a sore throat the other day which dissapeared fast. Then I started feeling nauseous, very weak, and and a massive loss of appetite, I can’t eat. What does this sound like? A flu virus? I have no cough or runny nose etc ..

My son (25 yrs old) has a loss of appetite, nausea, AFTER eating and some pain. He went for a blood test and they found that he has Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). This might be a direction you might want to look into. Next is a Gastrointestinal doctor. He has lost 20lbs so far so he is drinking Ensure. So far, that is the only thing that doesn't hurt his stomach. He is also eating very soft food, like apple sauce and broth, just to keep something in his belly.
