Hi Sandy, I am going through my 3rd episode of depression. I also can eat only in the evenings because this is when I feel a bit better. If I think of eating food in the morning it feels like I will vomit.

I also have a lot of acidity with heart burn and stomach problems. From my past episodes I have learnt  - when my depression goes - so does the acidity and other symptoms of depression. It is so with anxiety. It is the brain and gut connection. I remember when I was young in school and had to sit for exams I would visit the washroom atleast 6 times in a day. Wishing you the best. You will survive.

      Keep in touch.

I wish the best for all the depressed people on this site. Only the depressed know what suffering they go through. It is so difficult to explain the feeling we go through to a person who has not gone through it.

As I have mentioned before - they have reached the moon but have not found a fit solution for depression.

      Keep in touch.

I cannot tolerat ssris so where do i go mext?

I think you have to have an appointment with a GI doctor. What antidepressant are you on?

      Thank. Keep in touch.

      Hi Ann

I've recovered from my anxiety and my nausea has stopped. If everything has been cleared medically. It's the anxiety.

Hi Ann. Have had a setback unfortunately due to 2nd s.s.r.i not working I'm now due to start new ones Tues its just hard to keep going thru the medication rollercoaster... nausea not bad but have horrendous anxiety which is causing bad indigestion and heartburn. How are you? X

      Sorry, long time since spoke.

still got morning nausea . GP still says anxiety based.  Still a bit of ibs since gallbladder taken out.

psych is taking me off mirtazapine as he says i have anxiety. He has tried so many meds on me and i think has given up.  I feel yuk a lot of the time, living on only diazepam to keep anxiety down.  GP says may try zantac for nausea but i see side effect is depression,

where are you at now and any answers?

Sorry to hear you have been having troubles too.  Whats new anti dep?  Are you still trying zantac i might ask GP for it to see if it settles tummy.  Some say try Caltrate, others use prilosec.  I need some ideas and to get rid of this anxiety, dr thinks its causing stomach problems.

Yes ann new anti dep is venlafaxine. And ive been on zantac (ranitidine 300mg ) 1tab at night with my lansoporazole and found it worked but now my anx is worse it has produced more stomach acid and nothings helping. But it did work well initially ann if yr wantng to try it. Yr dr may be right there is an link with anxiety and worsening of gastric symptoms x

Yes i will ask for zantac to see if it helps.  I almost feel that when i swallow i can feel sort of acid down my middlegullet, then it permeates through to the back.
