Neck pain / lighheaded

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have a hard lump in my neck just to the right of my spine deep under the surface I can feel it as I move my neck to the side (as if it's connected to the spine) it's about level with my ears/hairline.

I'm also constantly spaced out and worried about things like aneurysms - can someone put my mind at rest?!

Physician consultation is required.  May need ultrasound, or perhaps MRI, but a physical examination may be enough.

It could simply be fat.  Definitely not an aneurysm.

Is anything else likely to make me feel spaced out / dream like (bloods were fine) other than bad anxiety in your opinion. No other symptoms other than slightly racy heart which I'm on propranolol for (was spacey before I took them) after labyrinthitus.

I have just notice that when I am relaxed my right shoulder is noticeably lower than my right.

You can't notice that my shoulder is lower my fingertips are lower when arms down by my side and my horizontal nipple line is off centre. If I reach down to touch my toes my right finger arrives at the floor before my left and if I stretch arms out in from of me and close hands 'clap' my right finger it more forward or my hands don't line up.

What could this indicate ? Possible c1c2 misalignment ? Considering I still think I can feel a hard lump in back of neck on right side.

Question the possibility that before all this started that the right shoulder may have always been lower, but you did not notice this before?

Yes entirely possible. I have read about misalignment causing a myriad of symptoms?

I am concerned about possible vertebral artery issue - I take it though I would have significant other symptoms other that the spaced out feeling if this was the case?

When all this started I had a hsv2 outbreak. Now I have another - could a this be connected could it have somehow affected my body for this long and if so is the fact I have another flare up a good or bad sign.

I should add I seem to be losing weight - 3/4 stone in 4 weeks.

It is possible that the spaced out feeling is a left over from the previous labyrinthitis, due to poor vestibular compensation.

Thanks. I have been it this dreamlike state for over 6 weeks with no let up.

I was diagnosed with labyrinthitus but no ear pain or hearing loss. Any chance they got it wrong? My bloods are fine but I'm still not convinced. I'm trying to keep active but my eyes ache after doing anything! Also just before the onset I had a big hayfever attack camping and I also has a faint red ring on my cheek jest below the eye - any relevance. My right ear also clicks when I move my jaw.

With no hearing loss, it is unlikely to be labyrinthitis.   Please tell me your symptoms right from the beginning and in which order.

Right ear clicks = Temporomandibular joint problem, which is not serious.

6 weeks ago The morning after camping - driving back (passenger) and my head span out completely like I was gonna pass out. (I had had a heavy night on the beer)

May be insignificant as I then worked a full week.

The following weekend the Saturday I felt 'off'

The Sunday I felt (dizzy/lightheaded) and my eyes were heavy/blurry/sore.

I had an opticians test (fine) and the doctor diagnosed labyrinthitus. They also said my ears were impacted (so I had them microsucktioned) I had a week more or less bed ridden and several 'attacks' were I felt like I was going to pass out. Since then I've had a further four weeks off work because I still not right - constant spaced out / dream feeling from minute I wake up (worse at night/after tea. Blood tests were clear. Whenever I try to do something my eyes ache/sting. I also am on propranolol because it has given me bad anxiety.

I am also constantly worrying it's something more serious!

The worrying probably comes from the fact I lost my dad to a brain tumour (nueroblastoma) twelve years ago.
