    Hi

I just replied to your question to me on Nay's post.

Yes I get all of what you describe and I used to get pain between the shoulder blades too but this has eased off. I didn't have an MRI just xrays and these showed early arthritis in my neck and spine. The cold weather makes it worse.😊

Try resting your neck and applying an ice pack to it daily. Resist any thoughts of moving it and "testing" it for cracks and grinding which actually pretty normal. Also, you should know that people have all kinds of spinal abnormalities that show up on mri but they have zero pain. The doctor however, will point to these abnormalities and say they are the source of the pain - they may or may not be right. PT's are paid to have you move your neck around (possibly making it worse) when it really may just need rest and maybe ice. Be careful getting pulled into the medical care system and please don't allow anything invasive.
